When I clicked this link, I was thinking, "Snark, that's exactly what I need some more of."

i wonder why such posts kick it & attract readers. i don't see what anyone possibly could take from it except offence.

trolling 2.0?

It's Friday night, my brain stopped functioning correctly hours ago, I have no idea why my goddamn Javascript is blocking on a call to the backend, and I need comic relief?

More seriously, I think that's the way a lot of entrepreneurs think, and we sometimes need a slap in the back from each other. Something awful like this. Call me weak and boorish, but I shamelessly enjoyed it. It reminds of the life I am trying to avoid. The life of some relatives. The lives of friends with six and seven figure salaries with their trophy wives.

I thought it was sarcasm. He is showing people how their only real obstacle is complacency?

might be - but even if so, i don't see a point in beeing sarcastic as it does not provide anything. i don't know anything more than i did before. /2c

The author is using a rhetorical device called "humor". Many humans take pleasure from humorous statements.

I'm sure someone here was slightly motivated by that. Not me though, since everything he said does not apply to me.

Why try to convince people to execute? Entrepreneurs don't need convincing - they can't stop themselves from executing. It takes a certain type.

I like it, need to indeed do what he says. Am waiting until I get deployed and actually do my part in the military, then out I go.

A veritable web 2.0 "Choose Life".

The hippies live in Berkeley.
