I'm one of those people who has a journal of 15 executable ideas at one given time.
The problem is that if I'm unable to find a name I'm attached to, I won't work on it.
I can imagine.
I am the same way. It's such a strange need - like the product cannot exist, even in my imagination, until it is named properly.
Too funny. I work with a lot of clients who get hung up on finding the perfect name before they can get going on their project. My advice is to come up with a "working name" you can live with — don't over think it, you can always change it later. Names you think are stupid at first often mature in your mind as you're working on the product...you'd be surprised how often a working name grows on a client and becomes the name of the product.
It's depressing to think of the number of products I've worked on where the "temporary code name" that was supposed to be "so bad we'll HAVE to change it before launch" just stuck around like an incurable disease.
Tnx, I'd love to see how this experiment evolves. Feel free to submit your pitch.
