Perhaps you can link to this for Emacs:

https://github.com/spotify/dockerfile-mode

Would be nice if the sublime version supported docker-machine based images instead of just boot2docker.

You've got a typo here:

We beleive they should meet...

anyone using it? how is it?

i'm planning to use this if it's stable, hard to remember so many commands

Typo:

"We beleive they should meet more often and we are making it happen here!"

"Beleive" is spelled wrong

The phrase, "more effort than it's worth" comes to mind.

That's what web interfaces are good for. Anyway, he got 4 PRs.

This has already degenerated into an argument about the merits of containerization but I hope we can all agree that better tooling for developers is always a good thing.

This article is not saying to run your editor inside of a docker container. If you view the link, it is a list of plugins to enable syntax highlighting for Dockerfiles within your favorite editor. I'm going to assume you didn't even click the link before responding to this post.

I guess I'm misunderstanding, but as a result it sounds to me as though you're misunderstanding. Aren't they talking about running docker from editors, rather than running editors in docker?

I'm actually using statically linked apps inside docker containers. (so my apps are automagically nicer)
