With Trine this would be

    function process () {
      return this
        ::filter(isOk)
        ::map(toOtherType)
        ::flatten();
    }

and then later:

    groupsOfItems::map(process);

Granted, the `flatten` function is not in the Trine yet, somehow forgot that from the initial release.
