Can someone explain this:

When I look at those enum names I would immediately think that MCRYPT_RIJNDAEL_256 was stronger than MCRYPT_RIJNDAEL_128. The naming strongly suggests the same algorithm but _256 being stronger.
Is this part of an API design issue?
