Google is like "hey microsoft, look, we took your metro style, and we added bevels and shadows and stuff, yeah! Oh, we're back where we started :("

I preferred the iOS1-6 Design and the Win95-Win7 Design. Though Material Design as in Android 5 is very nice. One cannot compare it to Metro of Win8 with its distasteful colors.

Fortunately, people really like Material design. Metro was rejected and ridiculed by the public.
