Reddit CEO Ellen Pao bans salary negotiations

Wow. Just wow. So Pao is trying to stop discrimination and stereotypes...by enforcing discrimination and stereotypes.

Women (and Men) should be taught to fight for what they are worth.

"but we aren’t going to reward people who are better negotiators with more compensation"

Some people deserve better compensation. Personally, I wouldn't ever work at a company like this. I have too much self respect.

I think that's a really important piece of it. Even if women and men were negotiating in equally aggressive ways, the effect would not be the same.

This is a great move, and I really appreciated the point made in the article that while it won't necessarily affect all women in a uniformly positive way, it does help to remove a an male advantage based on stereotypes.
