Ironically. The best way to gain from networking is to forget about what you can gain and focus on the other persons interests.

One thing that stuck out to me as a founder going through TechStars was the advice: "Ask them [mentor|investor|founder] if there is anything you can do for them."

What does he mean by "their pitch"? Doesn't this assume they're launching a product?
