Ask HN: After tutorials, how to become better?
For the programmer who keeps up with the joneses(the newest languages, frameworks, libraries, etc), what's next?
If you could theoretically know everything about programming, what would be the next step to continue developing yourself. Would you start a business, or would you push the envelope programming, such as AI, or give back to the open source community by creating an API that would make things easier?
I ask because I've been improving my programming skills for some time, but not improved my life as dramatically.
To follow up on each part-- What type of [business|AI|API] would develop what type of skill?
In essence, What skill most benefits an individual that is closely related to being able to program?
