Making a kernel by community is difficult and has no precedent to directly follow. The model-view-culture community should really take the failings of Linux as an opportunity to make a new kernel that does follow fairness and diversity principles.
It's mildly ironic that exactly the kind of behavior this article is decrying is used heavily within the article itself.
The article comes with presumptions, generalizations, and hyperbole the likes of which would fit right into the code reviews I've read from the linux kernel.
Sorry dudes, you cannot say you have a "code of conduct" unless you copy and paste from one of the two/three Big Names in the field and make a decent "voluntary" donation.
I think Linux should be more inclusive. It is simply not enough to accept anyone who can code and can write in English. They should take example from Gnome Foundation!
