Ask HN: How to improve my tech blogging skills?

I have just started writing tech blogs. I have a lot of knowledge which I want to share. Many of my friends have asked me to start blogging because they think it will help in spreading knowledge that I have. I have selected Wordpress as a platform for now but I am open to suggestions for shifting to other platforms. Please advise.
