It looks amazing, but it runs sooooo slow on my Ubuntu 9.10 Eeepc 701.

Is it the first tweet that's slow ? or overall tweet crawler ?

Sorry for the late reply. I think it's the svg graphics. The overall page framerate is really low. Low enough to count.
