> Are there authors who write similarly?

Nope.

But the closest you're going to get is probably Douglas Adams.

Maybe Robert Asprin? Same generation and I think his first MYTH books were at the similar level of ridiculousness and brilliance.

given the single masterpiece which is "Evolution man"[0], Roy Lewis is the third author I usually associate with DA and TP.

Neil Gaiman; Douglas Adams; Jasper Fforde.

FForde is a good recommendation. The Thursday Next books are absolutely wonderful.

(And my daughter has been reading Chris Riddell's Goth Girl books, which are like Fforde for younger readers.)

I'd recommend Neil Gaiman; and definitely read Good Omens, a book that Terry and Neil co-wrote.

Robert Rankin perhaps? Try the Brentford Triangle. I've been the Griffin Park (not that i'm boasting or anything).

I couldn't get into the Brentford Triangle personally, but I really enjoyed Armageddon the Musical.

Neil Gaiman. My favorite Pratchett book is actually "Good Omens", his collaboration with Neil Gaiman back before either of them were famous.
