However, the designer in me still loves a great card. As print becomes less prevalent I miss the textural experience a screen can't provide such as the feel of paper, emboss, deboss, foil stamps, spot varnishes, die cuts, etc. If you can afford it, I think it's okay to splurge a little here.
I use plain, white, unlaminated business cards from Moo (http://www.moo.com), because they're cheap and they're easy to write on.
These business cards are much prettier than my own, but I write extra information on business cards and that'd be impossible on most of these.
Maybe they're memorable enough that I wouldn't have to write on them.
