Was asking myself similar questions.

Settled on that it was created as opposed to evolving and it also wiped out its own creators.

Isn't the real problem that those borders are kind of blurry and depending on the perspective?

I.e. the individual does not create in isolation. It took several generations of people to create to a point where we can even make computers.

So at least to me the whole divide between artificial and natural isn't really there.

So is a beaver dam natural or artificial?

It's artificial, because it was crafted deliberately and purposefully to fulfill a need or want. Beavers weren't.

In that case, many human children are artificial.

No, human children resulted from organic processes beyond the control of the individuals who set the cogs in motion, so to speak.

As someone who needed donor sperm and a doctor to conceive, my kids are at least as artificial as a beaver dam.

Most importantly, beaver dam is not an intelligence (and I doubt that it will wipe out its own creators) :) I was referring to one and I think the guy above me also did.
