Taken down from google? I kind of doubt it. Remember how long the whole Rick Santorum thing was there? Taken down from HN? maybe, I do not know much about there moderating policies.
For a long time only a selected set of highly-trusted sources were used, but my understanding is that they are now a lot more aggressive with using sources - which I suspect means automatically using sources above a certain trust level, and then gray-listing problem sites.
And yet, this and the Rick Santorum searches have been reported on by plenty of mainstream media. And yet, it stays up for months on end.
It's like, "Don't try and manipulate the SERPS, unless of course it's politically motivated and Liberally slanted, then we'll let it slide."
