Hits-of-Code Instead of SLoC

It still seems like a poor metric. A great coder will remove lines of code not touch them.

On top if that, you need to ask yourself: "Why do I care about this metric?" Does it ship better code or ship it sooner or is it something to put in a spreadsheet to make pretty graphs to justify ones job?
