Yeah sure, there are __some__ badguys out there but USgov/NSA is milking that fear for all it's worth. You know what would happen if it were dismantled? We'd all find out they weren't needed after all and the campaign of fear was all for profit/power/control; keeping the populace in permanent anxiety and willing to give up all its rights.

Let's do that; let's completely revise how the country operates. It surely is overdue. You know what else was weaved thusly into USA? Slavery. It took some real sacrifices to undo that, but here I am. A black man not being whipped to pick cotton and enjoying San Francisco tech-scene, feeling a bit guilty of my salary and generally enjoying almost everything a white man enjoys... almost. The country can be changed if enough people care. How to do that when most people are having their spirits broken in a 9-to-5 job they hate, barely making ends meet, education out of reach due to expense, less-than-ideal health and constantly pumped full of fear via evening news.... that's the question I think about daily.
