Net Neutrality and the American Dream for Small Business

It's probably safe to stop actively boycotting them assuming no future regressions. You have to give points for correcting past mistakes. But if you switched to one of the registrars that had it right to begin with it's not like you need to be in any hurry to switch back. Having been right all along is still more commendable than having to be shamed into doing the right thing.

full disclosure: I now work at godaddy. and I'm not talking on behalf of the company.

from my perspective, it has. and I wouldn't work here if it hadn't changed.

almost all of the executive leadership is new since the unfathomable events of 3 years ago. the stories I have heard point to it only having been the position of 1 or 2 people, and didn't represent the views of the vast majority of the company.

what got me to come to godaddy is the real focus and excitement around the customer segment - helping small businesses get on the internet. that goal is orthogonal to anything but net neutrality. I'm really excited to see blake take a public stance on this.

Too early to call. Its just a well written letter to someone who can take the counsel or not, he is not bound. Action speaks louder than words. This is a small step only.

Putting its weight behind SOPA was a big step, to undo that.. and other things, it has to take bigger actions. Until then, I'm going with the standing public opinion.
