Ask HN: Service to keep track of all 3rd party library updates for web app

We end up using a myriad of software libraries for developing a web app. What's a good way to keep track of new releases, important updates, security advisories, and alerts on specific topics? Even though most projects are hosted on Github, it would be great to keep a tab on blogs, places that host code snippets/gists, repositories like pypi, and ofcourse bitbucket.

My best guess is IFTTT, please share your tool of choice.
