Always having problems getting it working entirely with desktop services and not being able to run many of the most popular desktop apps (the whole Office suite, Lightroom, Photoshop, TurboTax, most PC games, all sorts of vertical apps that are standards in various fields, the list goes on and on) are just "straw-men quibbles" about desktop Linux reflecting an obvious bias?
These observations have been taken for granted by many of us for years. As a 20-year user of Linux (I use it far more than Windows, used NeXT before Linux, and Solaris before NeXT), I concluded back in the 90s that desktop Linux was not well served by its fanboys who think that reality will cease to be a problem if they can just prevent people from mentioning it.
