Ask HN: Where are you hosting images and what are you paying monthly?

Given the offerings from Microsoft and Google, curious which devs are still using S3 for image hosting. Costs will obviously vary based on usage but just curious about the range (for both total and per image).

I am using Amazon S3 to host static files (CSS, Images and Javascript). I use a few gigabytes per month spread out over multiple blogs and websites, I pay around 60 cents per month (AUD), the highest it ever was is a couple of dollars ($2.50 AUD) because someone ran a scraping script on one of my sites and downloaded a few images.

It would be interesting in seeing if any competitor offerings are just as cheap, if not cheaper. I'm paying less than a litre of petrol per month for my image/asset hosting at present.

Rackspace Cloud Files: http://www.rackspace.com/cloud/files/ (see pricing)

Storage: $0.09 per GB per month. CDN bandwidth: $0.10 per GB per month

Well, I both built and am using Pixtulate since it makes all images responsive. Currently in free beta.

AWS and Digital Ocean, cost depends on project requirements, from nada to $150/mo

On my unlimited hosting service, DreamHost, but WordPress Photon reserves them at no cost.

I'm using s3. Curious to hear what others say about the competition as well. Thanks.
