How do you keep track of how much the companies raise after leaving YC?

As a past investor in all of the companies, I assume they would be informed about the future rounds and updated cap tables.

That sort of data usually makes it into CrunchBase eventually...

Crunchbase isn't the most reliable, so I was wondering if they surveyed their companies, etc.
