Ask HN:What should I choose for scalable analytics stack for my startup?

Analytics stacks are getting more and more complicated, as there are more and more moving parts.

1. DB: Amazon's RedShift, Google's BigQuery, HP's Vertica, etc'

2. Storage for logs - S3, Google cloud storage, etc'

3. Analytics and Data visualisation: Tableu, Microstrategy, gooddata, etc'

4. There are now tools that help you manage the stream like Amazon's kinesis, Google's cloud dataflow

As it is intended for a startup the constraints are budget, and relative ease of use - I don't want to hire an expert just for that. (at least not for starts).

What stacks did you go for in your startup and why?
