Ask HN: Cross Platform Or Native App Dev For Hiring?

Hi, I'm currently a rising Senior in college and I would like to be as marketable as possible after graduation. I'm most interested in mobile app development and have worked with Android for over a year with a few apps on google play here and there. What is the best route for me to take to make myself more desirable as an app developer? My plan was to redo an app in iOS and then pick up a cross platform like Xamarin for a larger project. Is there a more efficient way for me to spend my last year before looking for jobs?
