Under the pink light: flagging teenagers' acne to drive them away

It sounds like loitering teenagers are a big problem in the UK. I wonder why the "solutions" seem to be in the form of driving the kids away rather than solving whatever the actual problem is. Provide the kids with activities, send adults out to talk to the kids, let them work, etc., etc.

Treating the symptoms doesn't cure the disease.

I'm not sure if it's really such a huge problem, or if people mistakenly believe it to be a problem

And what about pregnant mothers and others with adult acne?I see the attempt but do not agree with the execution.

I dont think the council have quite the same problem with loitering pregnant mothers

I actually found the use of pink lighting to deter drug addicts much more interesting...
