Can someone post how to do italics and code indentation?

Does it use Markdown? I guess there's one way to find out...

Nope, just similar I guess...

It's a feature request:

For italics use stars, for indentation use indentation.

Can someone post how to show a star in a post?

Unfortunately there's not currently any way.

  (Though you can use all you want * * * in code.)

In the past, * was a star, obtained by entering `&#42;'.
