This was my experience as well. Serving c# web apps on linux just sucks.

I was using NancyFX, not ServiceStack. I wish I would have tried ServiceStack as well since I think they are probably better.

What issues were you having?

Mostly just a very difficult time figuring out the "right" way to host it on Linux. I could never get it to perform worth a damn after trying a bunch of different hosting methods.

I think ServiceStack would probably have solved my issues though.
