Ask HN: Stories about sexism in tech workplaces being handled right?
I've noticed there's a lot of alarmism in other threads about how sexism accusations can destroy people and companies, but I suspect it's just because we only hear about it when thing trainwreck.
Ostensibly there are situations all the time where an employee/founder/etc screws up, they are reported, and they are appropriately disciplined. The thing is, in the best case scenario no one else has to hear about it. Leading to a perception that it's all trainwrecks and blog posts and online brawls.
Does anyone have any stories about someone standing up against sexism and having it go the way it's supposed do?
