I have a Ford with the older, speech only Sync system (2009), and I've been pretty happy with it. Has is quirks, but does what it needs to do for the most part.

Am I correct in my history that it's really with the touchscreen version that Microsoft fell on it's face? That's when I recall hearing super toxic reviews.
