I'm sure it had nothing to do with the fact that he labeled the printer and everything to do with how he did it.
Agreed - a simple "Do you mind if I write this down? This way I won't need to bother you again next time!" wouldn't have done any harm..
Some people don't like other people fixing their stuff/problems. It hurts their pride.
That could have been her job. Also it's not my printer, I'm not supposed to change anything. Of course I'm half guessing since she didn't talk much with me after that first day.
Maybe she enjoyed the power of being the gatekeeper to the printer.
