Ask HN: How to prepare a safety net in case the startup fail?
I think that my ponderings of how to prepare in case of startup failure, probably is something that crossed the minds of many tech cofounders, or even tech early employees, so... how you prepare a safety net?
My two best ideas so far: 1) Attempt to crank projects to stuff GitHub (because seemly now you cannot get a coding job at all without one).
2) Get some formal administration education, although my resume has two executive levels on it (R&D head in a past company, and CTO in the current), I guess most companies would not hire me (because my lack of formal education, young age, no famous work, no certifications...)
note that I am considering only "get hired" because the foundation of the current startup was a crazy fluke (I was looking for a job and found a co-founder with investors tagging along by accident), although I would love to remain as entrepreneur, I have no idea how (in case the startup fails).
So, how tech cofounders and early employees prepare in case their current company fails (something I believe to be actually a common situation)?
