Not saying this is an example of this behaviour but there are also groups of people kudos whoring on SE/SO by shill posting questions and then providing very thorough/researched answers shortly afterwards from their real account(s).

Why would you need to do this (use 'shill' accounts, that is) and why would you care? You are allowed (encouraged, even) to answer your own questions on these sites - http://blog.stackoverflow.com/2011/07/its-ok-to-ask-and-answ...

You cannot do that right away unless you have enough reputation (I've been bitten by it, and it's terribly frustrating)

btw, I agree that such behavior is actually positive: more thoroughly researched answers are a plus, not a downside
