I really can't work for a few dollars an hour or meet the unrealistic high expectation from someone who cannot afford to pay the full price of a project.
Yeah. I especially like the ones which insist the work has to be done immediately, or within a couple of hours, or that DESCRIBE EVERYTHING THEY HATED ABOUT THE LAST DEVELOPER IN CAPITAL LETTERS, or clearly just pasted in the default job description without even bothering to describe the job.
Exactly, and you can't even charge them for the time you lost _convincing_ them to describe what exactly they want and giving them new ideas as you go through the process. Such a mess. But hey, sometimes you get great connections there, I found one of best hackers I know there (but I'm afraid he was the exception).
I totally agree. The initial scope of the project is always dragged out by enumerable changes, and if you are on a fixed price agreement you will inevitably be losing. It's an un-fair playing field as far as I'm concerned.
