Except for the publisher and advertiser number (2000 and 200 respectively) there is absolutely no other fact/useful info in the article

this must be an ad for buysellads, considering the content...and no i hadn't heard of them until today, and no, there are no rocks above me...well maybe some between the ceiling and the roof, perhaps.

funniest part of this ad is how they ask you to try and think of why they are such a great company. mcdonalds sales agent: mcdonalds is great because people eat fatty food that comes quick; what do you think? why is it that we rock so much? we'd love to hear from you...

"If you haven’t literally lived under a rock for the last 15 months, you already know that BuySellAds is one of the fastest growing startups and the most popular advertising marketplace in the design / developer online niche."

Wow, guess I live in a pretty deep cave...

@embeddedradical, unfortunately, no, this wasn't an ad for BSA and I did not ask them to write this. Looks like we just have one very excited publisher who is making some money with us and likes the software/service.

The simplicity of BuySellAds is the secret. It works without fuss. This posting may be biased but it's true nonetheless. The system works very well, at least for publishers. I haven't advertised et.

As an advertiser I'll vouch that the service works smoothly. There were a few quirks uploading my banner ad.

Overall the CTR of the ad is pretty dismal but I'll probably try and run it against other types of sites and see what happens. If anything I figure a little advertising helps promote awareness of my service.

I've also found BSA is an easy way to find blogs interested in writing about a particular niche. Good when looking for people to spread the word to.

I think BSA works best for branding not for clicks or leads. Unless the blog or site advertised at is hyper-topical that is offers exactly the info you the potential buyer of a product needs.
