Fork it and write a blogpost "How I used asm.js and Redis for managing Bitcoins on Hacker News"

I'm not ashamed to claim copyright on it, but it's not particularly doing anything novel or patentable, so what's the point?

Why is it awful code?

If you're spending time making quick scripts pretty, you're doing scripts wrong.

It's concise, clearly written, does its job well, I certainly don't think it's awful.
