maybe but a friend of mine has an iPhone 3GS and the other day was telling me by phone about this problem. He is a tech guy and knows it's ok for a device to get a bit hot, but his iPhone was just too hot to be ok.
Perhaps there's a problem with some of the phones and not others?
Have not noticed the same with my 3GS.
