LivingSocial has been down for 22 hours, and counting

Does anybody know what's going on? What could cause a big site like this to go down for more than a day?

Pure speculation: Maybe a bug that did harmful data changes, but wasn't noticed for some time? Database crashed, and the backup couldn't be restored?
