How to promote a cricket iPhone app?

A friend of mine spent a lot of energy to create this beautiful cricket iPhone app, but now we are wondering about possibilities to promote it. Since there are very few nations who follow cricket, it seems hard to find marketing channels. Any ideas/data points/similar experiences will be appreciated. Thanks!
