Why do you prefer LESS over SASS? I prefer the latter, only because of how well it plays with Compass and the command line watch/compile it provides. I have tried all of the Less GUIs, but they only disappoint, and I have not yet found any similar command line tool.

In Sublime Text, there's this plugin that automatically converts less to css on file save: https://github.com/timdouglas/sublime-less2css

I'm sure similar tools exist for the emacs/vim communities.

Will check it out, thanks.

There is for sass, too: https://github.com/jaumefontal/SASS-Build-SublimeText2

I'm a massive LESS fan, but I'll admit one of the biggest failings in the tooling is the lack of upstream saving/compilation. Compiling on save is one thing, but if it doesn't recompile the manifest, it's useless.
