But it's not until the end that we see the memo that justifies this title. And it's a ripoff of this site:

And if you click through to that link, you'll see that the memo doesn't come from "U.S. Intelligence Officers" at all, it comes from:

a dozen former U.S. military and intelligence officials are telling President Obama

And this dozen officials, which could literally include anyone from Oliver North to the manager of the CIA's kids website, have labeled their group, the "VIPS", short for: "Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity"

And as icing on the cake, their memo is titled: "Is Syria a Trap?"

Yes, sounds authoritative indeed.
