Git is Wesley Snipes. Mercurial is Denzel Washington

Denzel Washington is a great actor. Other than that, he lives a pretty normal life. What's interesting about that?
In contrast, Wesley Snipes gives the world lots of things to write about. Tax evasion. Conviction for reckless driving. Martial arts.
People admire Denzel Washington. But Wesley Snipes is simply more interesting.
Comparing how an actor works [how a version control application works] versus how an actor lives [what else does a version control application do bedsides work] doesn't really add up in my mind.

I really don't see why this is getting up voted.
I am curious, however. I have a few opinions about things that I don't like in git myself (and the post links to a bunch of the author's own opinions about git), but I'm not familiar with hg.
Can people who are familiar with it enlighten me as to what makes it good (or what about Mercurial is not mildly annoying compared to other vcs's)?
What about CVS and the best tools of all: ClearCase and SourceSafe? :-)
At least it made the trains run on time.
ClearCase is Robert Mugabe http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Mugabe
SourceSafe is Charles Taylor http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Taylor_(Liberia)
I can do this crap all day.
DVCSes are networks of pirate utopias, non-D VCSes are the United Nations.
CVS is Hannibal Lector, svk is Buffalo Bill.
You're right, it's fun, easy, and a complete waste of time.
