Ask HNs: Any one tried to hack the chromecast?

If it is based on chrome os doesn't google need to realize the kernel source?

I have mine or order, but I guess I am stuck waiting, but has anyone tried port scanning it. I think it would be cool if we could put another OS on it so we could get more functionality.

According to the anandtech they are using the Marvell DE3005, but I can't find this chip anywhere.

So anyone who has it tried to take it apart or any other ways tried to hack it?
