Ask HN: anyone interested in this contrarian idea?
Take the PPC (pay-per-click) model and apply it to the door-to-door sales model.
It is completely legal to knock on people's doors and try to sell them something face to face. Why are there no tech companies taking advantage of this?
BTW, I've done door-to-door sales, and I know how effective it can be. If companies are paying as high as $100 for a CLICK, how much would they pay for a face-to-face marketing pitch?
anyone interested?
