July 4th Protest-Washington

We (The United States of America) are a country riddled with issues. We have become immune to a corrupt government fueled by cash from large corporations who only have their interests in mind. These corporations have played the game correctly and have secured their place of power, our government and our economy. From the war scandals, to the banking scandals, to the recent privacy scandals, our government has shown that they do not and should not represent We the people. This forum, (HN) has many hard working people, in America and abroad, trying to make the world a better place. And I believe America is doing the opposite. I believe it is time to take greater action than online bantering and petition signing, and I believe there is enough support to make something happen soon. We voted in Obama on his slogan, "CHANGE we can believe in," he did not deliver. There is no reason for us to sit by patiently waiting for something to happen. There is no party that represents us, and the majority of Americans fear the government. It is time the government fears us, the people. I'm writing this post to hopefully be a launching point for change. Please share your thoughts and ideas.
