Ask HN: Best hardware for doing the coffee shop / bar testing?

Hi,

You've probably seen the threads here and there on HN about testing your product live in coffee shops and or bars to see how real users break it.

I was wondering if anyone, since those submissions, has tried it out and what hardware worked best.

Right now I'm leaning toward buying a Chromebook with 3G. That way if it is broken or dropped or spilled on, I'm not out a MacBook or anything like that.
