You forgot (2012). Really, any project that hasn't been updated for more than a week probably bit-rotted to the core and shouldn't be considered for production use.

You realize it's a joke, right?

So did anyone confirm if this was a joke or not?

I think it might be a joke. We're going to need more evidence.

This has been integrated into at least 3 sites in production at our company and our HTMLs have increased by 400%.

A+++++ would use again.

Funny, but I don't really see the point. Since when providing free tools became a target for sarcasm?

You do see the point: "Funny".

It's not so much a play on making js libraries, it's the fact that there are so many of them out there

And less about the creators/tools than about the community that insists on using the newest/sexiest one regardless of how well it solves your problem.

"Boom. Cross-universe compatible." - this is the "documentation"? think i'll keep using "my granddad's framework" since, you know, he wrote docs for it.

EDIT: nvm, i get it. what i don't get is why this is on HN's front page.

The fact that you missed the satire on the first pass proves the authors point.

compared to http://vaporjs.com, this is pretty shitty satire.

http://vanilla-js.com/ made me laugh too. but i agree, this sucks

Lighten up and laugh a little.

"Don't take life too seriously. You'll never get out of it alive." - Elbert Hubbard

take my word for it, i'm the last one to take anything seriously. maybe it's the fact that i joke so much that has numbed me to stupid fart joke equivalents :)

I still laugh at fart jokes because, why not?

because funny?

Seriously, the "community" on HN is one of the most boring sad bunch of people I've ever come into :(

It was funny the first few times. But the real problem is that it's not interesting or useful in any way.

but it's not that funny (#7)

People who don't get the joke instantly and start with thinking "ho no, this is really a bad framework" don't think this is funny afterwards.

Know why? Because, well, the joke's on you :)

i didn't read the entire page initially (and kinda sorry that i went back to do so). but lots of serious projects have quirky intros.

Another one of these?

I think it's the same one. If you mean, the humoristic ones.

It's the same one. I've had it in my browser history since the last time it hit the front page.

#5 sold me, 'Don't worry, be appy'

That one hit very close to home for me. Just the other day, I showed AngularJS to somebody. His main concern was about how it would perform on the iPad mini. True story.
