Ask HN: Market for education data?
I've been working on a side project in the social/education/review space for quite awhile. In short, it allows students to rate whether they needed a textbook for a particular class-instructor combination. It's doing OK, but I think the data I've collected with regards to what instructors teach which classes is probably more valuable than the reviews.
I have info on over 4000 schools, ~800k instructors, ~400k courses, and over ~700k course-instructor relations. The data could use some clean up, but I still think it might be useful to someone.
Is there any market for this kind of information? And if so, where do I even begin to sell it?
