The problem seems to be restricted to Windows - apparently it looks normal on Ubuntu and Mac. (Here: Mac 10.6, works fine on Chrome, Firefox and Safari.)
So I guess it's a platform issue.
Chrome on Win7 64-bit here; it does not crash as I scroll down.
Crashes both Safari 6.0.1 and Chrome 25.0.1364.155 on OSX 10.8.2 over here.
