Hah, this is great. Reminds me of an old quote from bash.org (who remembers QDB? it was like like the youtube of IRC)

I thought this (http://www.samsung.com/us/article/get-your-head-in-the-cloud) was pretty funny, but I'm also a child in an adult's body.

Silly as it is, the project can be made more generic. There must be a user-editable map, "buzzword" => "replacement". I think it will quickly obtain many more entries.

does not seem to work all the time

The usage of "cloud" really annoys me. When people use that word, they mean specific server(s) on the Internet, but for me that means things like BitTorrent, where I don't have to care where my stuff is, just what my stuff is.

Exactly, the cloud is really just a lonely blade server sitting in a dark room in a basement somewhere.

But saying it's a cloud it makes it easy for sales people to draw on a whiteboard.

Meanwhile, network folks have been drawing clouds since 1980.

When we hear "cloud" it means servers on the net.

To your manager, it's another term for outsourcing. If I put mail and calendars in "the cloud", would I need so many sysadmins?

It would annoy me, too, if we were in an enclosed room together.

On-Premise Cloud is my pet hate. How is that even a Cloud?

You would understand if you were a code ninja.

Haha, nice one!
